Oppositionen i Kenya: ”Vi kommer inte ge efter”
Oppositionen i Kenya lovar att fortsätta kampen mot valresultatet som gav landets sittande president Uhuru Keynatta makten, skriver AFP. Enligt oppositionen var valet riggat och den vägrar att acceptera valresultatet.
– Vi kommer inte att kuva oss, vi kommer inte att ge efter, säger Johnson Muthama, representant för den politiska koalitionen NASA som bildats av oppositionspolitiker.
Enligt Muthama har omkring 100 personer dödats av säkerhetsstyrkor i samband med de protester som brutit ut i landet, men dessa uppgifter har ännu inte bekräftats. Enligt poliskällor till nyhetsbyrån har åtta personer förts till bårhus.

The National Super Alliance, known by the abbreviation NASA, is a Kenyan political coalition that was formed in January 2017 by opposition parties. These parties include the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), Wiper Democratic Movement (Wiper), Forum for the Restoration of Democracy - Kenya (FORD-Kenya), Amani National Congress (ANC), National Rainbow Coalition, Progressive Party of Kenya, CCU, Muungano and other parties.
Raila Odinga, Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula and Isaac Ruto are the co-principals of the coalition.
The creation of the coalition was to run against President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto in the 2017 general elections.
