Börshaj chockhöjde priset på aidsmedicin
Den 32-årige finanshajen Martin Shkreli har upprört många sedan han startat ett läkemedelsbolag och över en natt chockhöjt priset på en livsavgörande medicin. Tidigare kostade en tablett Daraprim, som tas av bland annat aids-patienter, drygt 100 svenska kronor. Nu är priset uppe i 6 300 kronor.
Bland dem som kritiserat tilltaget finns presidentkandidaten Hillary Clinton som på Twitter meddelat att hon tänker lansera en plan för hur skenande läkemedelskostnader kan bromsas in.

Martin Shkreli (born April 1, 1983) is an Albanian American hedge fund manager and entrepreneur, specializing in healthcare businesses and is a co-founder of MSMB Capital Management, of Retrophin, Inc. and the founder of Turing Pharmaceuticals AG.
He was a co-founder and the Chief Executive Officer of Retrophin LLC, a biotechnology firm founded in 2011.
In September 2015, he was criticized by several public health organizations for obtaining manufacturing licenses on old, out-of-patent, life-saving medicines including pyrimethamine (brand name Daraprim) and increasing the prices of the drugs in the US, sometimes by more than 5000%. Pyrimethamine is listed in the WHO Model List of Essential Medicines, a list of the most important medications needed in a basic health system. He was accused of manipulating the price and taking these basic drugs out of of reach of millions of needy patients worldwide.

Pyrimethamine /paɪrɪmɛθeɪmiːn/ (trade name Daraprim) is a medication used for protozoal infections. It is commonly used as an antimalarial drug (for both treatment and prevention of malaria), and to treat Toxoplasma gondii infections, particularly when combined with the sulfonamide antibiotic sulfadiazine when treating HIV-positive individuals.
It is on the World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines, the most important medications needed in a basic health system.
