Fujimori: Accepterar beslut oavsett utgången i valet

José Pedro Castillo Terrones (born 19 October 1969) is a Peruvian schoolteacher, union leader, politician, and Presidential candidate of Peru. He attained prominence as a leading figure in the 2017 teacher strike in Peru. Castillo ran for president in the 2021 general election as the candidate of the left-wing Free Peru party. He placed first in the initial round and advanced to the second round against Keiko Fujimori. As the votes for the second round were fully processed by the National Office of Electoral Processes, observers have noted that Castillo appears to be president-elect of Peru, though no official results have been declared by the National Jury of Elections.

Keiko Sofía Fujimori Higuchi (Spanish: [ˈkejko soˈfi.a fuxiˈmoɾi (x)iˈɣutʃi] or [fu(ɟ)ʝiˈmoɾi]; born 25 May 1975) is a Peruvian business administrator, politician, and perennial candidate for public office. Fujimori is the eldest daughter of former Peruvian president Alberto Fujimori and Susana Higuchi, and formerly in role as the First Lady of Peru from 1994 to 2000. She has served as the leader of the Fujimorist political party Popular Force since 2010, and was a congresswoman representing the Lima Metropolitan Area from 2006 to 2011. Fujimori ran for president in the 2011, 2016, and 2021 elections but was defeated by a narrow margin in the second round all three times. She launched a third presidential campaign during the 2021 election and once again managed to qualify for the run-off, but was defeated by Pedro Castillo in the second round.
