Henderson lämnar Saudi – klar för spel i Ajax
Trots den enorma lönen fick den engelska fotbollsstjärnan Jordan Henderson nog av spel i den saudiska klubben al-Ettifaq efter bara sex månader och engelsmannen är nu klar för Ajax, rapporterar flera medier.
– Vi sökte en erfaren mittfältare med ledaregenskaper. Jordan Henderson är den typen av spelare, säger Ajax tränare John van 't Schip enligt fotbollskanalen.
Det har länge cirkulerat medieuppgifter om att engelsmannen var så pass missnöjd med tillvaron i den saudiska klubben att han var redo att betala motsvarande tiotals miljoner kronor för att bryta kontraktet.

Community violence against LGBT persons occurs.In May 2023 the Saudi Tourism Authority website updated its FAQ page stating that LGBT visitors were welcome to visit the country. Homosexuality remains illegal in the country, though enforcement of the laws is not universal. The move follows a series of social and economic changes, such as the improvement of women's rights, including the abandonment of wearing hijab and opening of the first public beach in Saudi Arabia where women can wear bikinis, among others. The decision to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup within Saudi Arabia received strong criticism from the LGBT community.
