Dame Judith Olivia "Judi" Dench, DBE, CH, FRSA, född 9 december 1934 i York i England, är en brittisk skådespelare. Dench dubbades till riddare 1988 och tituleras därefter Dame. År 1998 belönades hon med en Oscar för bästa kvinnliga biroll i filmen Shakespeare in Love, där hon spelade drottning Elisabet I. Hon spelade även drottning i filmen Hennes majestät Mrs Brown, denna gång drottning Viktoria, en roll som hon Oscarnominerades för året innan. Hon blev även Oscarnominerad år 2000 för sin roll i Chocolat, 2001 för Iris och 2014 för Philomena. Judi Dench spelade också den ena huvudrollen i den långlivade tv-serien As Time Goes By 1992–2002, där hon spelade mot Geoffrey Palmer. Från 1995 till 2012 har hon spelat M i James Bond-filmerna. Skyfall (2012) blev hennes sista Bondfilm. Hon gifte sig 1971 med den brittiske skådespelaren Michael Williams, med vilken hon fick en dotter. Williams avled 2001. Dench är troende kväkare.

The Laurence Olivier Awards, or simply the Olivier Awards, are presented annually by the Society of London Theatre to recognise excellence in professional theatre in London at an annual ceremony in the capital. Originally known as the Society of West End Theatre Awards, they were renamed in honour of the British actor Laurence Olivier in 1984. The awards are given to individuals involved in West End productions and other leading non-commercial theatres based in London across a range of categories covering plays, musicals, dance, opera and affiliate theatre. The Olivier Awards are recognised internationally as the highest honour in British theatre, equivalent to Broadway's Tony Awards and France's Molière Award. Since its inception, the awards have been held at various venues and theatres across the capital and, most recently, the Royal Opera House since 2012. The BBC used to broadcast the ceremony on television, but ITV required the broadcast rights for the 2013 ceremony onwards. The BBC continues to broadcast radio coverage of the event each year.

The Winter's Tale is a play by William Shakespeare, originally published in the First Folio of 1623. Although it was grouped among the comedies, some modern editors have relabelled the play as one of Shakespeare's late romances. Some critics consider it to be one of Shakespeare's "problem plays", because the first three acts are filled with intense psychological drama, while the last two acts are comedic and supply a happy ending. The play has been intermittently popular, revived in productions in various forms and adaptations by some of the leading theatre practitioners in Shakespearean performance history, beginning after a long interval with David Garrick in his adaptation Florizel and Perdita (first performed in 1753 and published in 1756). The Winter's Tale was revived again in the 19th century, when the fourth "pastoral" act was widely popular. In the second half of the 20th century The Winter's Tale in its entirety, and drawn largely from the First Folio text, was often performed, with varying degrees of success. ^ WT comes last, following Twelfth Night which uncharacteristically ends with a blank recto page, suggesting to Arden editor J.H.P.
