Lars-Göran Petrov (17 February 1972 - 7 March 2021) often abbreviated as L-G Petrov was a Swedish singer of Macedonian origin. He was best known for his work with the band Entombed. In 1991 he was forced to quit Entombed, due to Petrov "making an ill-advised pass" at the girlfriend of Entombed drummer Nicke Andersson. He contributed the vocals for fellow Swedish death metal band Comecon's debut album Megatrends in Brutality. In 1992, he returned to Entombed. He also played drums in Morbid, which featured Mayhem vocalist Per Yngve "Dead" Ohlin in its original line up.In 2013, Entombed A.D. was formed by the line-up of Entombed at the time, excluding guitarist Alex Hellid, who had decided to split with the remainder of the group. He was also the lead vocalist of a death metal supergroup called Firespawn, which features Victor Brandt (also of Entombed A.D.), and members of Necrophobic, Unleashed and Dark Funeral.On August 9, 2020 he publicly announced on his GoFundMe page that he was battling an incurable form of bile duct cancer. The band announced his passing on 7 March 2021 via their Facebook page.

Entombed is a Swedish death metal band formed in 1987 under the name of Nihilist. Entombed began their career as an early pioneer of Scandinavian death metal which initially differed from its American counterpart by its distinct "buzzsaw" guitar tone. However, by the early 1990s their sound had broadened to include garage rock and other influences. This new style would eventually be described as death 'n' roll. Entombed has been influenced by bands such as Slayer, Exodus, Black Sabbath, Celtic Frost, Autopsy, Repulsion, Kiss, The Misfits, Motörhead, Discharge, Death and Testament. Along with Dismember, Grave and Unleashed, Entombed has been referred to as one of the "big four" of Swedish death metal.

Entombed A.D. is a Swedish death metal band formed in 2014 after the break-up of Entombed. The group was founded by Entombed members. They released their debut album, titled Back to the Front the same year. The band consists of Lars-Göran Petrov (vocals), Olle Dahlstedt (drums), Nico Elgstrand (guitar), and Guilherme Miranda (guitar).Entombed are currently back together, so this group and Entombed currently operate as two separate bands despite some members playing in both.
