Mikael Ymer: ”Det är det här man har jobbat för”

Svenske Mikael Ymer är laddad inför matchen mot världsettan Novak Djokovic i Franska öppna på tisdag.

– Jag tänker att det är det här man har jobbat för sedan man var liten, att få spela på de stora arenorna mot världsettan, säger Ymer till TT.

Mikael Ymer, som är den enda svenske herren i singelturneringen sedan hans bror Elias åkt ut i kvalet, säger att han är osäker på sin form, men att han tycker att det är ganska skönt att matchen spelas i september och inte i maj-juni som vanligt.

Djokovic gör sin första match i Grand slam-sammanhang sedan han blev diskad under US Open.

Mikael Ymer (born 9 September 1998, in Skara) is a Swedish tennis player of Ethiopian descent. He is the younger brother of fellow tennis player Elias Ymer. Mikael played the 2015 Wimbledon junior boys final where he was defeated by American Reilly Opelka.

He is also a recipient of the Order of St. Sava, the Order of Karađorđe's Star, and the Order of the Republika Srpska.
