Stjärnan pausar karriären – ökad risk för alzheimers
Skådespelaren Chris Hemsworth – som spelat superhjälten Thor i en rad Marvelfilmer – pausar karriären efter att han fått veta att han löper förhöjd risk att utveckla alzheimers. Det rapporterar flera medier.
I samband med den nya tv-serien genomgick Hemsworth flera genetiska tester, som det sedan var tänkt att han skulle diskutera framför kameran. Där framgick att han har en gen som ökar risken för alzheimers från både sin mamma och pappa, något som enligt TT är mycket ovanligt.
Hemsworths morfar är drabbad av sjukdomen.
– Att göra ett program om döden och att möta sin egen dödlighet triggade något i mig, säger Hemsworth som nu ska ta ledigt för att ”umgås mer med fru och barn”.
