”Suspiria” fick stående ovationer – i åtta minuter
Luca Guadagninos nya film ”Suspiria” fick stående ovationer i åtta minuter på Venedigs filmfestival på lördagen, skriver Variety.
Skräckfilmen, som är en nyinspelning av Dario Argentos klassiker ”Flykten från helvetet”, delar kritikerna då vissa beklagar att man inte blir rädd medan andra berömmer filmens stilisering och tematiska innehåll.
Huvudrollsinnehavaren Dakota Johnson berättade under filmfestivalen att hon fick söka psykologhjälp efter inspelningarna.

Suspiria is a 2018 supernatural horror film directed by Luca Guadagnino, with a screenplay by David Kajganich. It is a remake of the 1977 film of the same name directed by Dario Argento and written by Argento and Daria Nicolodi. The film stars Dakota Johnson, Tilda Swinton, Mia Goth, Lutz Ebersdorf, Jessica Harper, and Chloë Grace Moretz. Its plot follows an American woman who enrolls at a dance academy in Berlin plagued by unusual occurrences. Harper, who starred as the lead in the original film, appears in a different role. The film features an original musical score by Thom Yorke.
Principal photography took place in Varese, Italy from October to December 2016, and in Berlin from February to March 2017. Suspiria had its world premiere at the 75th Venice International Film Festival on September 1, 2018. The film is scheduled to be released in the United States by Amazon Studios in a limited release in Los Angeles and New York on October 26, 2018 before opening wide on November 2, 2018.
