Uppgift: IS-finansiär gav pengar till rebeller i Kongo
Rebellgruppen ADF i östra Kongo-Kinshasa har vid minst ett tillfälle tagit emot pengar från en finansiär med IS-kopplingar. Det framkommer i en ny rapport som bygger på uppgifter från amerikanska källor och en ADF-avhoppare, enligt Reuters.
Det tyder på möjliga kopplingar mellan oroligheterna i landet och andra jihadistgrupper, såväl i Afrika som på andra platser, skriver nyhetsbyrån.
Utbetalningen uppges kunna spåras till Waleed Ahmed Zein som står på USA:s sanktionslista. I juli greps han i hemlandet Kenya för misstänkta kopplingar till terrorgruppen.

The Allied Democratic Forces (French: Forces démocratiques alliées; abbreviated ADF) is a rebel group in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), and is considered a terrorist organisation by the Ugandan government. It was originally based in western Uganda but has expanded into the neighbouring DRC.
Since the late 1990s, the ADF has operated in the DRC's North Kivu province near the border with Uganda. While repeated military offensives against the ADF have severely affected it, the ADF has been able to regenerate because its recruitment and financial networks have remained intact. Some of the attacks it has been blamed for also appear to have the hands of other groups as well as Congolese Armed Forces.
