31-årige Sebastian Kurz blir Europas yngste ledare
Han har beskrivits som ett politiskt underbarn. Nu blir 31-årige Sebastian Kurz, från det konservativa partiet ÖVP, förbundskansler i Österrike och Europas yngste ledare. Det efter att ÖVP nått en uppgörelse med det högerpopulistiska partiet FPÖ.
Det har läckt uppgifter om att Heinz-Christian Strache förutom att han blir vicekansler också kan få ansvara för ett nytt departement, kallat Heimatschutz, ”hemlandsskydd”. Det rapporterar TT. Exakt vad departement ska ska ägna sig åt är oklart, men det handlar om försvarsfrågor i någon form.

Sebastian Kurz (born 27 August 1986) is an Austrian politician and chairman of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP). Since 2014 he is Austria's minister for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs.
In the 2017 legislative election the ÖVP, led by Kurz, won a relative majority of the seats in the National Council. Following the legislative election, the Government stepped down, and President Van der Bellen asked the former government to handle the day-to-day business until a new government will be sworn in. On October 20, 2017, President Van der Bellen asked Kurz to make suggestions concerning the formation of a new government.
