Enormt säkerhetshål hos försäkringsbolag
Säkerhetsexperten Brian Krebs har avslöjat att försäkringsbolaget First American sedan 2003 har haft ett allvarligt säkerhetshål som öppet exponerat runt 885 miljoner poster med detaljerad information, bland annat känslig data om kunderna.
Socialförsäkringsnummer, körkortsuppgifter och kontodetaljer ska ha varit möjliga att se för alla som haft tillgång till webbadressen.
First American har nu täppt till säkerhetshålet, men det är oklart huruvida någon exploaterat läckan under alla dessa år. Om det saknas tecken på att någon utnyttjat ett säkerhetshål så brukar det aktuella företaget meddela det. Men First American har inte sagt någonting alls, konstaterar The Verge.
