Sjukhusen i Brasiliens största stad, São Paulo, är nära att kollapsa under pressen av coronaviruset. Det rapporterar BBC.
Borgmästaren Bruno Covas uppger att den offentliga vården nått en belastningsgrad på 90 procent och att platserna kan ta slut inom två veckor.
São Paulo är en av Brasiliens svårast drabbade regioner med nästan 3 000 dödsfall i covid-19.

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic was confirmed to have spread to Brazil on 25 February 2020, when a man from São Paulo tested positive for the virus. As of 17 May 2020, 241,080 cases have been confirmed in the country, causing 16,118 deaths. As with Russia, Brazil was relatively late in suffering a serious outbreak, but now has the fourth-most cases in the world, after the United States, Russia, and the United Kingdom.
The pandemic has triggered a variety of responses from federal, state and local governments, having an impact on politics, education, the environment, and the economy. On 27 March Brazil announced a temporary ban on foreign air travelers and most state governors have imposed quarantines to prevent the spread of the virus.
