”Den här gången blir det slutet för muslimerna”

Muslimer i Indien oroas över vad regeringspartiet BJP:s valseger kommer att innebära för deras framtid, rapporterar Al Jazeera.

– Valresultatet visar att BJP:s antimuslimska kampanj har lyckats, säger affärsinnehavaren Faizan Zafar i New Delhi till tv-kanalen.

– Den här gången verkar det bli slutet för muslimer, säger Zafar som befarar att regimen kommer att utlysa en religiös hindustat.

Under tiden premiärminister Narendra Modi var regeringschef i delstaten Gujarat anklagades han för att ha underblåst en våldsvåg mot muslimer, men friades senare från inblandning i händelserna.

Av Indiens befolkning är 195 miljoner muslimer.

According to the preliminary official results released by the Election Commission of India for all 542 constituencies after the first 7 hours of counting, the Bharatiya Janata Party led in 300, the Indian National Congress party in 50, while their alliance partners and un-aligned parties led in 192.Legislative Assembly elections in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha and Sikkim were held simultaneously with the general election.
