Sydkoreas nya president lämnar traditionella palatset
Sydkoreas tillträdande president Yoon Suk-Yeol har beslutat att flytta sitt kansli från det traditionella presidentpalatset Blå huset, rapporterar flera nyhetsbyråer. Enligt Yoon är byggnaden en symbol för imperialism och flytten var något han utlovade redan under sin valrörelse.
Han säger också att en flytt kommer att göra honom mer tillgänglig för folket.
Kritiker har å andra sidan hävdat att flytten främst bottnar i Yoons tro på traditionell shamanism och feng shui.
Även den avgående presidenten Moon Jae-In lovade att flytta kansliet från Blå huset, men det blev aldrig av på grund av de höga kostnaderna och den besvärliga logistik projektet innebar, skriver AFP.

Cheongwadae (Korean: 청와대; Hanja: 靑瓦臺; lit. "cyan-tile pavilion"), also known as the Blue House, is the executive office and official residence of the Republic of Korea's head of state, the President of the Republic of Korea, located in Jongno-gu of the capital Seoul. Cheongwadae is in fact a complex of multiple buildings, built largely in the traditional Korean architectural style with some modern architectural elements and facilities. The Blue House is the most protected official residence in Asia.
Built upon the site of the royal garden of the Joseon Dynasty (1392–1910), Cheongwadae now consists of the Main Office Hall Bon-gwan (Korean: 본관; Hanja: 本館; lit. "Main House"), the Presidential Residence, the State Reception House Yeongbin-gwan (Korean: 영빈관; Hanja: 迎賓館; lit. "Welcome-Guest House"), the Chunchu-gwan (Korean: 춘추관; Hanja: 春秋館; lit. "Spring-Autumn House") Press Hall, and the Secretariat Buildings. The entire complex covers approximately 250,000 square metres or 62 acres.
