Turkiet sätter in fler soldater efter bombdådet

The Kurdistan Freedom Falcons (Kurdish: Teyrênbazê Azadiya Kurdistan, TAK, Turkish: Kürdistan Özgürlük Şahinleri), also known as the Kurdistan Freedom Hawks, is a militant group that has committed attacks throughout Turkey, operating in southeastern Turkey and northern Iraq with a goal of securing Kurdish secession from Turkey. In December 2015, the group announced that they are not dependent on PKK, which they see as an organization that they criticize as too humanist. Some Turkish sources have claimed that it is unclear whether or not TAK is connected to any other Kurdish nationalist organizations, though they believe that TAK split off from the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) when it became dissatisfied with the group's tactics. Some Turkish security analysts have alleged that Bahoz Erdal may be the leader of the TAK.
The group goes by other names including, but not limited to Kurdish Vengeance Brigade, Kurdistan Freedom Falcons Organization, Kurdistan Liberation Hawks.
Most TAK attacks are directed against tourist areas in Istanbul, Ankara, and southern coastal resort areas. TAK has claimed responsibility for the 2016 Ankara bombing, an attack that killed 28 people, mostly military officers.

The People's Protection Units (Kurdish: Yekîneyên Parastina Gel, pronounced [jɑkinæjen pɑrɑstinɑ gæl]; YPG), also known as the People's Defense Units, is the main armed service of the Kurdish Supreme Committee, the government of Syrian Kurdistan (Rojava). The YPG is primarily Kurdish, but it also recruits Arabs, Turks, and westerners. There are Assyrian/Syriac Christian units integrated into its command structure (Sutoro and Syriac Military Council).
The YPG was formed by Kurdish youth in 2004 after the Syrian government quashed a rebellion in its largest Kurdish-majority city, Qamişlo, killing thirty Kurds. The YPG considers itself a democratic people's army and conducts internal elections as a method of appointing officers.
