Vilka medarbetare Donald Trump väljer att ha vid sin sida kan vara avgörande för hur politiken utvecklar sig i USA de närmare fyra åren. SVT Nyheters Eva Elmsäter konstaterar att han i och med valet av Reince Priebus som stabschef och Steve Bannon till chefsstrateg fått två personer som riskerar att dra åt olika håll.
”De två rådgivarna, som ska ha lika stora befogenheter, har beskrivits som något av yin och yang och många undrar hur de ska kunna dra jämnt i Vita husets West Wing”, skriver hon.
Utnämningarna bekräftar att den rasistiska retoriken får följa med in i Vita huset, skriver Björn af Kleen i en analys i DN. ”Den antisemitism som fanns underförstådd i kampanjens slutskede tillskrivs ofta Bannon.”

Stephen K. "Steve" Bannon (born November 27, 1953) is an American businessman and media executive. He is the executive chairman of Breitbart News, a politically conservative American news, opinion and commentary website noted for its connection to the alt-right. Bannon will be chief strategist and senior counselor of the upcoming Trump Administration. He became chief executive officer of the 2016 presidential campaign of Donald Trump in August 2016.

Reinhold Richard "Reince" Priebus (/ˌraɪns ˈpriːbəs/ RYNS PREE-bəs; born March 18, 1972) is an American attorney and politician who is Chairman of the Republican National Committee and the White House Chief of Staff designate - having been named by President-elect Donald Trump to the post, taking over once Trump takes office in January 2017. He has previously served as RNC general counsel, and is the former chairman of the Republican Party of Wisconsin, where he is credited with helping to bring nationally known figures such as Paul Ryan, Speaker of the House, and Scott Walker, Governor of Wisconsin, into power on the state level and prominence on the national stage.
