Åtta kvinnor anklagar den bästsäljande författaren Neil Gaiman för sexuella övergrepp, rapporterar New York Magazine.
I åtta intervjuer uppger kvinnorna att de någon gång ”spelat med” i Gaimans önskningar men att det senare inte längre funnits samtycke. En av dem, som varit barnvakt åt författarens femåriga barn, uppger att han erbjöd henne att bada i bubbelpool och sedan själv gick ner i poolen naken och förgrep sig på henne sexuellt. Brittens advokater förnekar samtliga anklagelser och hävdar att allt mellan Gaiman och kvinnorna skett med samtycke.
Anklagelserna har lett till att flera filmatiseringar av Gaimans böcker nu läggs på is tills vidare.

Neil Richard MacKinnon Gaiman (; born Neil Richard Gaiman; 10 November 1960) is an English author of short fiction, novels, comic books, graphic novels, audio theatre, and screenplays. His works include the comic book series The Sandman and the novels Good Omens, Stardust, Anansi Boys, American Gods, Coraline, and The Graveyard Book. Gaiman has won numerous awards, including the Hugo, Nebula, and Bram Stoker awards, as well as the Newbery and Carnegie medals. He is the first author to win both the Newbery and the Carnegie medals for the same work, The Graveyard Book (2008). In 2013, The Ocean at the End of the Lane was voted Book of the Year in the British National Book Awards. It was later adapted into a critically acclaimed stage play at the Royal National Theatre in London.
In 2024, a number of commercial ventures linked to him halted production, owing to multiple allegations of sexual assault against women.
