Biden utser fler toppar till den nya administrationen
USA:s tillträdande president Joe Biden har utnämnt Deb Haaland till inrikesminister i den nya administrationen i Vita huset, rapporterar Washington Post.
Haaland, som nu representerar delstaten New Mexico i representanthuset, blir därmed den första ur USA:s ursprungsbefolkning att leda departementet.
Samtidigt väljs Michael S Regan till chef för den amerikanska miljömyndigheten EPA, enligt källor till både Washington Post och NBC News. Det har däremot inte bekräftats officiellt.

Debra Anne Haaland (born December 2, 1960) is an American politician who has been the U.S. Representative from New Mexico's 1st congressional district since 2019. The district includes most of Albuquerque, along with most of its suburbs. Haaland is a former chairwoman of the Democratic Party of New Mexico. Along with Sharice Davids, she is one of the first two Native American women elected to the U.S. Congress. Haaland is a member of the Laguna Pueblo people and a 35th-generation New Mexican. On December 17th, the President-elect Joe Biden's transition team announced Haaland as their pick to serve as Secretary of the United States Department of the Interior. If confirmed, she would become the first Native American to serve in this role.
