Brasilien kan stoppa British Airways-affär

Brasiliens konkurrensmyndighet hotar att stoppa det planerade samarbetet mellan chilenska flygbolaget Latam och IAG:s British Airways och spanska Iberia, skriver Reuters. Om de tillåts samordna sina rutter och priser blir det svårt för nya aktörer att ta sig in på marknaden, uppgav myndigheten i ett uttalande på måndagen.

De påpekade också att de tre bolagen redan nu har 70-80 procent av marknaden på flygningar mellan Sao Paulo och London, och 50-60 procent mellan Sao Paulo och Madrid.

LATAM Airlines, formerly LAN Airlines S.A., is an airline based in Santiago, Chile, and is one of the founders of LATAM Airlines Group, Latin America's largest airline holding company. Currently, LAN and TAM continue to work as separate companies, under a common executive management. LATAM Airlines Group is currently the largest airline conglomerate in Latin America.
