Ex-presidenten Donald Trump har röstat i Palm Beach, Florida, tillsammans med hustrun Melania Trump.
– Landet har gått vilse, förlorat självförtroendet, det har blivit väldigt dåligt, sa han till reportrar på plats enligt Bloomberg.
I går gjorde Trump sin tydligaste antydan hittills om att han planerar för en comeback i presidentvalet 2024. På ett valmöte för senatskandidaten JD Vance i Dayton, Ohio, sa Trump att han har ”ett stort tillkännagivande” att ge nästa tisdag.
Den sittande presidenten Joe Biden väntas inte göra några uttalanden i dag.
– Presidenten väntas kommentera valet nästkommande dag, säger Bidens talesperson Karine Jean-Pierre, enligt Sky News.
Amerikanerna röstar i dag i mellanårsvalet som bland annat avgör maktbalansen i kongressen, vilket får direkt påverkan på Bidens möjligheter att få igenom sin politik de kommande två åren.
