Geely-chefen: Volvo kommer ta skada vid handelskrig
Såväl Volvo Cars som ägarbolaget Geelys kinesiska bilmärken kommer att ta stryk om slitningarna i världshandeln blossar upp till ett fullskaligt handelskrig. Det menar den kinesiska fordonskoncernens ägare Li Shufu, enligt Bloomberg.
– Det kommer att vara dåligt för kinesiska biltillverkare om USA inför strafftullar för Kina. Samtidigt kommer Kinas motåtgärder skada importen av USA-tillverkade Volvobilar till Kina, säger Li Shufu.

Geely (officially Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co., Ltd) is a Chinese multinational automotive manufacturing company headquartered in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. It sells passenger vehicles under the Geely Auto, Lotus, Lynk & Co, PROTON, and Volvo brands and commercial vehicles under the London EV Company and Yuan Cheng Auto brands.
Geely has owned the Swedish passenger car maker Volvo Cars since 2010, when it acquired the company from Ford. It completed the acquisition of British taxi maker The London Electric Vehicle Company in 2013. In June 2017, Geely also acquired 49.9% equity in Malaysian carmaker PROTON Holdings as well as a 51% majority stake in British sports carmaker Lotus Cars. The deal is seen as an important step for the Chinese carmaker in their quest to make inroads into the lucrative ASEAN region.
Geely Automobile Holdings Ltd (Chinese: 吉利汽车; pinyin: Jílì Qìchē) (SEHK: 175, OTCQX: GELYF), a subsidiary of Geely, is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. On 13 February 2017, it became a constituent of the Hang Seng Index.
