Ilska bland republikaner: ”Historiskt splittrande tal”
President Joe Bidens tal i natt har väckt ilska hos Republikanerna, skriver New York Post.
En av de som reagerat starkt är Kevin McCarthy, minoritetsledare för Republikanerna i representanthuset.
– Jag lyssnade på presidentens tal. Jag kan inte minnas mig ha hört något om inflationen, bensin, gränser, fentanyl, brott eller ens om de 98 namnen på terroristlistan, säger han till Fox News.
Brigitte Gabriel, grundare av den anti-muslimska gräsrotsgruppen ACT for America, var inte heller imponerad.
”Joe Bidens tal i kväll var ett av de mest splittrande tal som någonsin hållits av en sittande president”, skriver hon på Twitter.
Den republikanska senatorn Marsha Blackburn menar att människorna i USA inte vill höra på Bidens tal.
”Den amerikanska befolkningen kämpar med att ställa mat på borden på grund av Bidens socialistiska slösaktighet”, skriver hon.
I sitt tal varnade Biden bland annat för att valförnekare utgör ett hot mot demokratin.
