Män får dubbelt så mycket tid i Oscarsfilmer
De manliga huvudrollsinnehavarna syns i bild dubbelt så länge som sina kvinnliga motspelare. Det visar en studie genomförd vid St. Lawrence University i New York, skriver The Wrap. Statistikerna har granskat samtliga filmer som Oscarnominerats i kategorin bästa film de tolv senaste åren.
I filmer som regisserats av män syns män 44 procent av tiden och kvinnor 21 procent. Motsvarande siffra i filmer regisserade av kvinnor är 31 respektive 30 procent.
”Kanske är nyckeln till ökad representation av kvinnor på film, och därmed ett större djup i karaktärerna, att anställa fler kvinnliga regissörer”, skriver Bailey O’Keeffe, en av personerna bakom studien, i ett uttalande.

The Academy Award for Best Picture is one of the Academy Awards presented annually since the awards debuted in 1929, by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) to producers working in the film industry and is the only category in which every member is eligible to submit a nomination and vote on the final ballot. The actors or actresses in the film will not accept this award unless he or she produced the film.
