NHL-backen Niklas Kronwall avslutar karriären
NHL-backen Niklas Kronwall lägger skridskorna på hyllan, uppger hans klubb Detroit Red Wings på Twitter.
– Min resa som spelare för Red Wings slutar här, säger 38-åringen i ett videoinlägg på klubbens hemsida.
Kronwall har spelat 15 säsonger i klubben och har gjort sig känd som en hårdtacklande och tuff back. Hans främsta meriter är Stanley Cup-segern 2008 och OS-guldet med Tre Kronor 2006.

Niklas Kronwall (pronounced [ˈnɪklas ²kruːnval]; born 12 January 1981) is a Swedish professional ice hockey defenceman who is currently an unrestricted free agent. He previously played for the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League (NHL). He is one of the 28 members in the Triple Gold Club. Kronwall started his career in Järfälla HC in Sweden, and has played internationally for Sweden. In the NHL, Kronwall has gained notoriety for being an open ice hitter, and the phrase "being Kronwalled" was coined to describe his signature back-pedaling hits. In 2008 he won the Stanley Cup with the Red Wings.
