Larsson: ”Machokulturen giftig för män och kvinnor”
Zara Larsson tycker synd om män som tvingas leva upp till en machokultur i samhället. Det säger hon i en intervju med brittiska Contact music där hon pratar om sin syn på jämställdhet och stereotyper.
– I samhället har män så mycket makt och machokulturen är giftig för både män och kvinnor.
Larsson har blivit känd världen över för sin musik men har även fått stor uppmärksamhet för sina feministiska uttalanden. I intervjun berättar hon om att det är svårt att leva upp till alla förväntningar som kvinnlig artist.
– Är du supersexig så är det fel. Är du inte det så är det också fel, säger Larsson.

Zara Maria Larsson (pronounced [²sɑːra ma²riː.a ˈlɑːʂɔn]; born 16 December 1997) is a Swedish singer and songwriter. She first gained national fame for winning the 2008 season of the talent show Talang, the Swedish version of Got Talent, at the age of 10. Larsson signed with the record label TEN Music Group in 2012 and released her debut EP album, Introducing, in January 2013. The single "Uncover" topped the charts in Sweden, Denmark, and Norway. By February 2013, "Uncover" was certified platinum by Universal Music Sweden. In July 2013, Introducing was certified triple platinum in the country. Larsson also signed a three-year contract with Epic Records in the United States in April 2013. She performed at the opening and closing ceremonies in France for UEFA Euro 2016.
Larsson's debut international album, So Good was released on 17 March 2017 and debuted at number 7 on the UK Albums Chart. It produced six singles, including "Lush Life", "Never Forget You", "Ain't My Fault", "I Would Like" and "Symphony". All of the album's singles (except for the title track) reached top 15 in the UK. "Never Forget You" peaked at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100, giving Larsson and MNEK their first entries on the chart.
