Ryska botar stödjer inlägg som är vapenpositiva
Botar med kopplingar till Ryssland används för att gynna Twitterinlägg med vapenpositiva budskap efter skolskjutningen i Florida den 14 februari, uppger observatörer enligt CNN. Robotarna används för att så split bland amerikaner, skriver tv-kanalen.
Bland annat ska hashtags, ämnen och sajter relaterade till skjutningen ha retweetats av dessa robotar, enligt Hamilton 68 som är ett verktyg för att spåra ”rysk propaganda och desinformation på nätet”. CNN har inte kunnat verifiera resultaten.

On the afternoon of February 14, 2018, a mass shooting occurred at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, United States, in the Miami metropolitan area. Seventeen people were killed and fifteen more were taken to hospitals, making it one of the world's deadliest school massacres. The suspected perpetrator, Nikolas Cruz, was arrested shortly afterward and confessed to the shooting according to the Broward County Sheriff's Office. Cruz has been charged with seventeen counts of premeditated murder.
Cruz's social media posts showed him threatening to shoot people with his AR-15 style rifle, in particular police officers and anti-fascist protesters. A month prior to the shooting, the Federal Bureau of Investigation was tipped off about the threats he had made, but due to a mishandling of the information, no follow-up actions were taken. Police and prosecutors have not yet offered a motive for the crime, and are looking into "a pattern of disciplinary issues and unnerving behavior".
