Tio länder går samman i mututredning

Åklagare i tio latinamerikanska länder har gått samman för att dela bevis i den gigantiska korruptionsutredningen av det brasilianska företaget Odebrecht. Det rapporterar Reuters. Syftet är att snabba på utbytet av information mellan länderna och undvika byråkratiska hinder. Samtidigt kräver Peru tillbaka motsvarande nära 600 miljoner kronor från de som anklagas för att ha tagit emot mutor från Odebrecht.

On 19 June 2015, Brazilian authorities arrested the CEO, Marcelo Odebrecht, in connection with their ongoing probe into bribes paid by the Brazilian oil giant, Petrobras. On 7 March 2016 he was sentenced to 19 years and 4 months jail, for paying over US$30 million in bribes to executives of Petrobras, in exchange for contracts and influence.
