Republikansk senator vill att partiet utmanar Trump
Den republikanske senatorn Jeff Flake vill att en politiker från det egna partiet utmanar president Donald Trumps omvalskampanj inför valet 2020. Det säger Flake, som har varit en uttalad kritiker av presidenten, till NBC News.
– Det republikanska partiet är Trump-partiet just nu. Det betyder inte att det måste förbli så, säger Flake.
Det har spekulerats i att Flake själv skulle ha ambitionen att ställa upp. Orsaken är att politikern har meddelat att han nästa vecka ska resa till New Hampshire. New Hampshire är också den första anhalten för primärvalet.
