Meta uppges vilja licensiera teknik från Magic Leap
Meta för just nu samtal om att licensiera teknologi från headsettillverkaren Magic Leap, något som skulle kunna hjälpa Meta att leda utvecklingen inom augmented reality. Det uppger åtminstone källor till Financial Times.
Det är ont om detaljer kring de påstådda samtalen, men det framgår åtminstone att det inte handlar om att de båda företagen ska ta fram ett headset tillsammans.
Meta har avböjt att kommentera saken, medan Magic Leap säger till Financial Times att samarbeten har blivit allt viktigare för företaget.

In December 2016, Forbes estimated that Magic Leap was worth $4.5 billion. On July 11, 2018, AT&T invested in the company and became its exclusive partner. On May 28, 2020, Rony Abovitz announced that Magic Leap had raised $350 million in new funding and that he would be stepping down as CEO. On July 7, 2020, the company announced their new CEO would be former Microsoft executive Peggy Johnson.
