Nokia trappar upp strid om patent med Apple
I kölvattnet av att finska Nokia stämt Apple för att ha inkräktat på diverse patent, så väljer nu Apple att plocka bort flera produkter från varumärket Withings ur sina onlinebutiker.
Nokia köpte nämligen Withings tidigare i år, vilket innebär att Withings-produkterna i det närmaste är att betrakta som Nokia-produkter. Det hela påminner om hur Apple för ett par år sedan plockade bort Bose-produkter ur sitt sortiment efter att Bose stämt Apple-ägda Beats för patentbrott. Bose-produkterna plockades tillbaka efter att den juridiska processen var över, och det är inte orimligt att tro att samma sak lär ske med Withings-produkterna. Withings tillverkar primärt hälsorelaterad elektronik av olika slag.

Withings (pronounced "with-things") is a French consumer electronics company headquartered in Issy-les-Moulineaux, France, with offices in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA, and Hong Kong, distributing products worldwide. Withings was purchased by Finnish company Nokia on 26 April 2016. The deal closed on 31 May, with Withings having been absorbed into Nokia Technologies' new Digital Health unit led by the former Withings CEO.
